Stay home stay safe

We hope you are all keeping safe and trying to make the most of an unsettling, uncertain situation by enjoying quality time with your children.

We understand that, for many, this will be a very stressful and overwhelming few months as you try to work from home and entertain the children.

We are writing to reassure you that we are all thinking of you and wish to offer whatever support we can.

Communication through our online journal Tapestry

Firstly we will be sending out weekly memos via our online journal, ‘Tapestry’.

They will include suggested activities, photos and communication for your child. Can you please share these with your child?

We are also encouraging you to keep talking about nursery life as much as possible, and photos of all staff can be found on our website.

Tapestry is a brilliant tool for two way communication and we are therefore encouraging parents to upload photos, videos and comments to their Tapestry account.

This will be a lovely opportunity for us to see some of the brilliant fun you and your child have been having at home.

If you are experiencing any issues with logging on or viewing your Tapestry account, please ring the nursery for technical support!

Activity ideas on Facebook and our app

We will also be doing lots of Facebook posts with suggested activities and ideas to keep your little ones entertained while at home.

Please ensure you are following our Facebook page: ‘Castle Lane Day Nursery and Afterschool Club’.

We may send information via the ‘Our School App’ app too. If you haven’t downloaded this yes please go on to your app store on your phone and search for “our school app” and follow the instructions.

Suspension of invoicing

With regards to invoicing, we have now chosen not to send out invoices for the upcoming months.

This decision has been taken due to the support offered by the government to retain and support our staff excellent team.

All staff members are now officially furloughed and will be receiving their wage. We are confident that our reserves can support our business outgoings until we are instructed to re-open.

Can we please whole hearty thank all parents that have made contributions to April invoices and reassure you that we are passionate about pulling together to get through this unprecedented time.

Keep in touch with Castle Lane Day Nursery

Please know that you can still communicate with us if any concerns or questions arise during closure.

The phone line and email will continue to be staffed.

If your questions relate to accounts, please email Emma at emma@castlelanehotmail.com.

For all other enquires, our email is enquiries@castlelanedaynursery.co.uk

We hope that you all remain at home, keeping you and your family safe for as long as instructed by the government.

Please Remember: Stay Home, Protect the NHS and Save Lives.

We look forward to welcoming you all back once given authority to reopen.

With very best wishes

Harriet, Vikki and all of the Castle Lane Team
