Our governing body is Ofsted and our registration code is EY372240.

We adhere to the Ofsted ratios at all times. We work closely with Leicestershire county council, as they oversee and audit our funding.

The Nursery is open from 7:30am to 6pm Monday to Friday, with the exceptions of bank holidays and one week at Christmas.

Christmas Closure is from the 23rd December to the 2nd Jan (depending on how weekends fall).

Fees at Castle Lane Day Nursery

Our fees are invoiced monthly, for the month in advance, and are due by the first of the month.

Penalty charge for late payment of fees

If the fees due have not reached us by the 7th of the month then a late payment fee will be added to the next month’s invoice, unless payment is made by childcare vouchers or the tax-free childcare scheme, in which case you must inform the office of the date the vouchers are due to be paid and then no late fee will be added to your invoice.

If fees are continually late, management reserve the right to cancel the sessions, and all outstanding debt will be handed over to our debt recovery agency.

Fees are monitored monthly and after the 3rd month your sessions may be cancelled, if payments are not made.

If you require a full-time place at our nursery you will be entitled to a 5% discount on fees (unless you are claiming 15 or 30 hours FEEE funded sessions).

Any extra sessions or holiday sessions (term time children) that have been booked will be charged for whether your child attends the sessions or not.

We do not charge for days we are closed, I.e bank holidays and Christmas break, however if we are forced to close due to Local Authority or Government guidelines, you may still be charged.

Charges

Nursery charges are set to our fee structure, these can be found on our website and throughout the nursery.

Invoice are sent out monthly, usually around the 25th of the month.

There is a £30 administration fee when a child joins the setting, which is non-refundable.

Funding

We offer 15 and 30-hour FEEE government funding.

All children are entitled to 15 funding the term after their 3rd birthday. Parents need to check via HMRC government website to see if they meet the requirements to be able to claim 30hour funding. Some families will also be able to receive 2-year olds funding.

The funded sessions we offer are 8am till 6 pm (10 hours) or 8am till 1pm (5 hours) or 1pm till 6pm (5 hours) Leicestershire term time.

If your child attends funded only sessions then your child must attend the full funded hours in which they are booked in for.

Term Dates

We follow Leicestershire County Council term dates.

If your child’s school adds a teacher training day to the term so your child does not need taking or collecting that day, the sessions will still be charged.

If you would like a copy of the term dates please speak to the office, or visit Leicestershire county council website.

Collection of children

Children will only be allowed to leave the nursery with a parent or carer that has been authorised to collect by telling us the password which is on the child’s registration form.

Anyone unable to tell us the correct password will not be able to leave the setting with the child.

We will only allow the child to leave the setting once we can confirm who they are.

Meals and snacks

We offer breakfast till 8:30 am (8:15 in breakfast club), morning snacks, lunch and pudding, an afternoon snack plus a tea and pudding.

All food is freshly prepared on site, with any dietary or allergy requirements being catered for.

We advise all parents to inform us of any allergies or dietary requirements when starting the nursery or as soon as diagnosed and a copy of the diet sheet.

All food is included within the price unless associated with funding, then a sundry charge will be added to the invoice.

Sickness

If your child is unwell and will not be attending a session, please call or email us to inform us that they will not require their session for the day. Sessions will still be charged.

If your child attends the breakfast or after school club, please inform us by 8am for breakfast club or 2:45pm for the after-school club, if your child is unwell and not at school.

This is to ensure that the pick up or drop off for the other children can run as smoothly as possible, and that our team will not be going around the school looking for them.

Sessions will still be charged.

Covid (Coronavirus)

If your child has to self-isolate and remain home for up to 2 weeks, due to suspected Coronavirus, all fees will still be charged.
