When Harriet Gray and Vikki Gamble decided to buy Castle Lane Day Nursery in Market Harborough back in February 2012, little did they imagine that ten years later, they would be celebrating their first decade in business following a global pandemic!
As co-owners and managers of Market Harborough’s thriving nursery, forest school and after school club, both were keen to mark such an achievement in the company of their staff team, as a thank you for their hard work and loyalty over the years.
And so they all headed to spend the weekend in a large house in the Peak District National Park, where they all enjoyed team building games, a long walk into Bakewell, meals together and an invaluable opportunity to reflect and reminisce about the last 10 years of Castle Lane.
A number of the staff team have shared the whole 10-year journey with Harriet and Vikki, so it was extra special to share memories with them, including Sophie McLish, Emma Garland, Jo Tye, Jo Crease and Amanda Tilley.
Owner Harriet commented “It has been a pleasure to support so many families and children across the Harborough area. Over the years, we have seen the importance of parents using our service not only for high quality childcare but for support and advice.
“Parenting isn’t easy for any of us and we see the value of really being a there for all parents and carers. To not only support the child but the family as a whole.
“We both feel privileged to have supported and nurtured so many children and provided them with good memories and a loving nurturing environment in their early years and beyond.”
