This letter is to notify parents and carers of the additional measures we have put into place at Castle Lane Day Nursery, regarding Coronavirus (Covid-19).
Pick up/Drop off for parents
Can we please ask that parents do not enter the main room.
Please wait outside on the steps for a staff member to get your child.
We will no longer be asking you to sign your child out of the setting.
Please ensure you are social distancing with other parents coming to the setting.
Children must hand sanitise on both enter and exit.
School Bubbles
As we are sure you are already aware, we have bubbled the children into their respective schools.
Each school has their own nominated area, toilet, cutlery and resources.
All resources, children and staff will stay consistently in their bubble, to avoid cross contamination.
Each school bubble has their own toilet. The toilets are cleaned in between each use and only one child is allowed into the toilets at a time.
The bubbles consist of:
- Meadowdale
- Little Bowden
- Ridgeway
- a mixed bubble Great Bowden/ Ridgeway (with consent from both schools, we are able to mix these schools due to them being linked)
Bubbles are capped at 15 families.
Food
Due to the children being in their nominated bubble areas, we have gone back to a cold tea.
This consists of sandwiches, fresh vegetables crudités, and a side i.e. pizza or chicken goujons.
A pudding is also offered.
Breakfast is fruit and cereal. Please see the main door for our latest menu.
Handwashing and additional cleaning
We are hand sanitising/ washing children hands on a regular basis.
This is done on entering and exiting the afterschool club.
At schools, in the playground both in the mornings and afternoons and before eating and after toileting.
All areas are sanitised each evening and we have additional cleaning procedures with toys, resources and commonly touched surfaces.
Travelling in the mini bus
All buses are thoroughly disinfected after each use.
Windows must remain open while travelling and staff will be wearing masks whilst driving the vehicles.
Where possible, children will sit with an empty seat in between them.
Covid policy and procedures
Can we please remind all parents if you child displays a temperature, cough or change of smell or taste, that you do not bring them into breakfast or after school club.
We ask that you book a test and do not return until you have confirmation of a negative result. Please email this to the main office.
If we have a confirmed case, we will liaise with and seek guidance from Public Health England.
If your child’s bubble has to isolate, fees are still expected in full.
These procedures will be regularly reviewed but if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us via email or phone.
Please notify us ASAP if you have been contacted by Track and Trace or if you have had direct contact with a confirmed COVID result.
