Dear parents

You will be aware that we have been instructed to close and will not be open from 6pm Friday 20th March, 2020.

This letter is to reassure you that your place will be available when we are allowed to reopen and we are making the difficult decisions necessary to ensure the sustainability of the nursery so that it is available to parents after the crisis.

We have had some lovely supportive conversations with some parents offering to continue to pay fees, but we do not feel able to demand fees if we are not able to provide a service. We will be sending invoices out for April, May and June but recognise payment will be a matter of personal conscience and circumstances.  We can give a categorical assurance that any fees will be passed directly to our staff group as salary and to cover running costs of the nursery during the closure.

Clearly this is a distressing time for our brilliant staff group; we are employing them for as long as feasible and with the announcement at 5pm today this looks more optimistic, we will be offering them the best support we can in this difficult time.

It is not only the Castle Lane family that is being put under stress by events, we recognise that having your little cherubs at home whilst your trying to work could be a little daunting so please look out for our articles and suggested activities on our Facebook page.

We are remaining open for our Key Worker families so please feel you can call at anytime if you have any questions.

We sincerely hope that you and your families stay healthy over the coming months and look forward to welcoming you back when we reopen.

Harriet, Vikki & the Castle Lane Team
