“Dear Parent/Carers, both past and present.
It is with mixed emotions that I am hanging up my Castle Lane Hat, I’m going to be retiring to sunny (lol) Wales to live by the sea.
I have been in childcare for 25 years, 17 of those years, here at Castle Lane Day Nursery and 14 of those as a co-owner alongside Harriet, (the best partner I could have wished to have).
We have had ups and downs along the way, the worst lows was having to say goodbye to three very special people: my own mum, Rose, and Maria, who are still dearly missed.
The highs are too many to mention but I guess the main ones are all the Graduation days we have had and of course the staff Christmas parties.
I would like to thank our amazing staff, past and present.
I know Harriet is going to continue to have a strong team behind her and I want to wish her all the best for the future.
My last official day will be the 31st October, and I would like to say goodbye to all who I will see. I will be putting cakes and treats out in the main hall if anyone would like to pop in.
