Tehliegher

Castle Lane are fundraising after one of their own team, Tweenie Room Nursery Nurse Chloe Patterson, tragically lost her sister Tehliegher, aged 14, when she died after being hit by a car which veered off the road, killing her and injuring another 14 year old school girl.

The incident happened in Braunstone, Leicester on the 26th October, when a driver in a black Vauxhall Astra hit both schoolgirls at the junction of Braunstone Lane and Mortimer Way just after 11am. The second 14-year-old girl suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

A 38 year old man has since been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and of driving with an alcohol level above the legal limit.

Tehleigher’s father Shane Patterson said ‘Yesterday, 26.10.2022. Our beautiful Tehleigher was taken from us at the age of Just 14.

‘During a tragic incident that took place in Braunstone, the life of this little angel was taken.

‘Tehliegher was the salt of the earth. Enjoyed every second of life. Being an amazing Sister and Daughter was everything to her. Her life was taken way too soon.

‘Her memory will forever be in the heart of all those who loved her and her family. We will miss you always Little T.

‘Words cannot describe the deep sadness the family are going through at this time. Anything you can do to help contribute towards giving this girl the best send off. Will be widely appreciated by the Family and Community.

Rest in Peace. Tehliegher. We love you always.’

Co-owner and Manager of Castle Lane Day Nursery, Harriet Gray, said ‘It is with great sadness that we heard about the death of Tehliegher, who was the much loved sister of Chloe Patterson, who works in our Tweenie room.

‘With her permission, we want to help raise as much money as possible to cover the cost of Tehleigher’s funeral.’

A Justgiving page has been set up in Tehleigher’s memory, where anyone who would like to support Chloe and her family can leave an online donation.
