Holiday Club

Welcome to our Market Harborough Holiday Club!

Castle Lane Day Nursery’s Holiday Club attracts school aged children from right across the Market Harborough who come to enjoy days out during the school holidays, catch up with old friends and make lots of new ones.

The perfect solution for parents who have to work during the school breaks, our Holiday Club is open from 7.30am until 6pm and for just £27 per day, we provide all the entertainment!

Who can attend Castle Lane’s Holiday Club?

Our Holiday Club is aimed at children who are already attending school. Typically, they are aged from 4 years old until about 11 years old – and everything in between!

Children don’t have to have been to Castle Lane during their nursery years or come to our Breakfast & After School Club – anyone and everyone is welcome.

We tend to have representation from all the surrounding schools, including Meadowdale; Little Bowden; C of E; Farndon Fields; Ridgeway and Great Bowden – so there’s a good chance that your child will already have friends here when they attend.

Where is Holiday Club located in Market Harborough?

We run our Holiday Club from our nursery on Great Bowden Road, in Market Harborough.

Children attending the Holiday Club have exclusive access to our huge Breakfast & After School Club room, which has ample space for letting off steam, playing games, building Lego, junk modelling, watching TV, sitting quietly, eating together or just hanging out. There’s something for everyone and space for them all.

When does the Castle Lane Holiday Club run?

Castle Lane Nursery’s Holiday Club runs during every school half term and full term holiday with the exception of Christmas and Bank Holidays.

Do I have to book my child in for the whole holiday period?

No – you can choose to book your child in for a little as one day with us, up to the whole period of the school holiday. Whatever suits you best.

What is the Castle Lane Holiday Club room like inside?

Our Holiday Club is based in our huge Breakfast & After School Club room, which is zoned to reflect the kind of activities our children like to spend their time doing.

So there’s a large open space for anyone wanting to build tall Lego towers or create cars out of cardboard boxes – and then drive them round.

There is a pool table and dressing up area to encourage sharing and creative play.

There’s comfy seating, with beanbags, in front of the television for children who fancy watching an age appropriate film or tv programme.

And a separate room houses our kitchen space, where we have craft tables, for model making, Hama bead creating or baking.

There’s even a chill out space for anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of the main room.

And we have a dedicated space for children over the age of 6 wanting to use our computer suite to play age appropriate games or practice their computer skills.

Children attending our Holiday Club also have regular access to our large, outdoor adventure playground.

What will my child do in the Castle Lane Holiday Club?

We pride ourselves on coming up with an exciting time table of events for all children attending the Holiday Club, so that no one day is the same as another.

We aim for one dedicated outing each day, dependant on the weather.

Trips include:

  • East Carlton Country Park
  • Gallones ice cream parlour
  • Little Bowden park
  • Mini Mischiefs
  • Cinema

We offer a wide range of activities each day, including cooking, arts and crafts as well as plenty of opportunity for letting off steam!

As with all our rooms, the children in the Holiday Club are supported and supervised by our friendly, qualified and enthusiastic members of staff who offer a nurturing and loving environment.

What is provided in the school Holiday Club?

Parents need to supply a packed lunch for both Holiday Club and Forest School Holiday Club. Castle Lane will provide a hot tea in the afternoon for those doing a full day, plus drinks and snacks.

How much does the Castle Lane Holiday Club cost?

Attendance at our Holiday Club costs just £27 per child per day – and we even offer a discount for a second sibling.

Your fee covers the cost of all our activities, entertainment and tea.
