Welcome to our Baby Room!
For most parents, the very idea of having someone else look after their baby fills them with worry. And as parents and care givers ourselves, we are the first to recognise that.
Which is why we work so hard to make sure our Baby Room at Castle Lane is a safe home from home environment for your little one, with the same standard of care we would all want for our own children.
Our baby room is light and airy, with an abundance of bright, interactive toys and stimulating displays.
And our warm and caring staff are well-qualified and highly experienced in looking after small babies.
We recognise that every baby is different so our staff take the time to understand their individual needs and preferences.
Throughout the day, the team will complete a record book for each baby, so you will be able to see exactly how much your baby has had to eat and drink as well as how long they have slept for and the kind of activities they have been involved in.
What are the ages of the babies at Castle Lane?
We welcome babies into our Baby Room at Castle Lane Day Nursery from as young as 6 weeks old, right through to 18 months old.
We only take a maximum of 9 babies, with a ratio of 1 highly qualified staff member to 3 babies.
We are also passionate about staff training and all our Baby Room staff receive additional instruction on caring for the Under 2s.
What is the Baby Room like at Castle Lane?
We consider it important to provide a bright, stimulating and engaging room for our babies, with lots of messy play, allowing them plenty of room to explore their environment.
We also provide a separate cot room, which is a huge asset, as it allows babies the space to sleep in a monitored but quiet and relaxed environment, away from noise and disruption! The cot room is, of course, attached to the main room.
Our babies also have the luxury of their own outdoor decking area. This is a safe and beautiful outdoor space that includes a playhouse, sensory experiences and much more.
We frequently take our babies to the local park to stimulate the senses and encourage observation of the outside environment.
Our relationship with you
It is incredibly important to us that parents feel reassured, relaxed and confident about leaving their baby with us and our staff work hard to build strong relationships with both parents and their children.
We will fit in around you and your baby’s routine and can support you in all areas of parenting young babies, including advice on sleep, teething and attachment concerns.
What is provided in the Baby Room?
Castle Lane provides all your baby’s food along with nappy wipes and creams.
All you need to supply is a change of clothes and nappies.
Can parents come and visit the Baby Room?
